// PROBLEM
Reactive repairs cost 4 to 5 times more than preventive maintenance - yet most organizations still spend between 38% and 52% of their maintenance budget on reactive work. 1
ABB's Value of Reliability report found that two-thirds of companies deal with unplanned downtime at least once per month, costing $125,000 per hour for the average facility. 2
According to JLL Technologies' State of Facilities Management Technology Report, over 44% of facility management experts identify tracking work order progress as their single most time-consuming task - ranking first above invoicing, reporting, warranty management, and technician assignment. 3
// THE FTL SOLUTION
No transcribing data or alerts. No waiting for tenant complaints. Our platform uses your building’s live data to push you intuitive, actionable alerts. Once you approve them, we automate the work order process for you.
// HOW WE DO IT
The sensor readings your equipment has been generating, captured continuously, and analyzed across every site in context.

Service history, specs, and fault patterns for every unit in your portfolio. When a problem flags, FTL Cloud knows the asset and what it's seen before.

Pre-populated with asset data and fault context, prioritized, and written in plain language. Ready for your review.

// SOFTWARE
A temperature spike on a reliable compressor is different than the same reading on a unit flagged three times in six months. FTL knows the difference because it's tracking the asset record and maintenance history, not just live data.
You decide the action to take; we automate the busy work. Move on to the next problem that needs your attention and let FTL handle the rest.
FTL uses four different alert types to designate importance and the skillset needed to solve building issues, letting you better plan your day.
FTL uses both trending data and setpoint limits to generate alerts, allowing us to predict asset failures before they occur.
FTL gives facilities managers up to date information on their entire realm, whether it’s a single site in a mall or 1000 buildings with a global footprint. Our platform summarizes information from your assets and zones and gives suggestions for action, allowing you to keep your sites operational and your occupants comfortable.

// HARDWARE PRODUCT
Our mission is to connect every building to the cloud. If you don’t already have a BAS, FTL can instrument your building at a cost you can stomach.
// Technical Explainer
FTL's Remote Asset Controller installs in-line between your existing thermostat and HVAC equipment. An HVAC technician can set it up in under an hour, drawing power from the 24VAC supply already coming from your rooftop unit. Cellular connectivity is built in. The RAC connects itself, configures itself, and starts streaming data immediately. Your building's Wi-Fi, your IT team, and your network architecture play no part. From the moment it's installed, it's live.
The RAC monitors supply and return air temperatures, compressor and fan motor load, refrigerant high and low side pressures, and more. All of it streams to the FTL Cloud in real time - visible on any browser from anywhere, by both you and your service provider.

// FAQ
A BAS is built for large facilities with dedicated on-site engineering teams. It's complex, proprietary, and expensive to install and operate. FTL Cloud is built for the 95% of commercial buildings that can’t justify that investment: multi-site operators, retail portfolios, and light commercial properties. It delivers the intelligence layer without the infrastructure overhead.
FTL Cloud connects what your sensors see to what your team needs to do. Most existing systems generate data but stop at the dashboard: they surface an alarm and leave the interpretation to you. FTL Cloud reads those signals, prioritizes them across your portfolio, and generates the work order automatically. The insight becomes action.
FTL Cloud monitors HVAC. We’re working on refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems. Check out our changelog for updates. The scope of monitoring at each building is determined by hardware configuration. The RAC covers HVAC as its primary focus at launch. Additional FTL devices and third-party integrations extend coverage as the platform expands.
An HVAC technician can install the RAC in under an hour. It fits in-line between your existing thermostat and HVAC equipment, draws power from the unit's existing 24VAC supply, and is live on cellular from the moment it's fitted. No BAS engineers, no additional power supply, and no extended downtime required.
FTL Cloud monitors refrigerant pressures continuously and flags anomalies before they become reportable events. The result is real-time visibility that supports a proper compliance program, rather than a reactive response when a problem crosses a threshold.
